Unit 1 Topic 1 will be the Civil War.  We will seek to answer:

• LEQ - How did the issue of slavery tear America apart?
• LEQ - How did the Civil War serve as a framework for modern America?

Have you ever visited a Civil War battlefield such as Gettysburg or Antietam? If yes, share your experience with your classmates in a brief post.
